What began as an idea grew through years of research, experimentation and an ambition to create a gin that could express the character of the Indian landscape.

From a thought in the forest.
The Beginning
Before there was Vanaha.
There was a journey into the world of wine, spirits, branding and luxury.
Years of experience, exploration and encounters with the world’s finest spirits laid the foundation for a different kind of ambition — one rooted in India, yet created with a global perspective.
An Idea Takes Root
What if a forest could become a spirit?
Some ideas arrive fully formed. Others begin as a question.
For Vanaha, the seed was simple:
Could the feeling of an Indian forest be captured in a spirit?
The idea stayed — and slowly began to take shape.

The question became a pursuit. And the pursuit became Vanaha.
From Idea to Experimentation
The search began.
Research began. Botanicals were explored. Distillation techniques were tested. Recipes were developed, challenged and refined.
What followed was years of experimentation in search of something distinctive — a gin capable of expressing the complexity of India’s forests through contemporary distilling craft.
Revelry Distillery
The forest became home.
The vision found its home in the forests of Sattari, Goa.
Revelry Distillery was established with a philosophy of bringing together nature, craft and technology.
The forest was no longer simply an inspiration. It became part of the journey.
The Search
Countless trials. One expression.
More than 200 botanicals were explored and experimented with before the final selection was made.
Through countless combinations and iterations, 24 botanicals were chosen for the final expression.

Great spirits aren't discovered overnight.
Behind Vanaha were more than 7,000 hours of research and development, refining botanicals, proportions, extraction and distillation.
It was to create a spirit with a sense of place.
