The origin of Vanaha is an immersive journey of curiosity, ambition and reinvention. And, at the core of it is our distillery, located at the heart of the Sattari forest in Goa. Here we experiment with traditional craftsmanship and innovation to create our own breakthrough distillation process that led to the birth of our artisanal forest gin, unparalleled in flavour and depth.
From combining traditional copper pot distillation with vapourised infusion chambers to gently draw out delicate botanical essence to preserving the integrity of the spirit through cold vacuum distilling, meticulous care has gone into perfecting every step of Vanaha’s journey, from forest to bottle.
Crafted in-house in small batches, under optimal conditions, each bottle of Vanaha Gin is a work of art, inside and out.
In the process of creating Vanaha, the challenge was clear: to craft a unique gin that is truly meant to be sipped and savored. The journey was tough, but by following nature’s slow and perfecting process, a remarkable spirit was born. After exploring and selecting from over 200 different botanicals, 24 final selections emerged, each carrying the untamed spirit of the wilderness and breathing life into the blend.
Every single botanical is treated uniquely to reveal its own distinct earthy, woody, and aromatic notes, carving out its own space just the way nature intended. With every sip, Vanaha brings out the true essence of the forest, effortlessly transporting you straight to its heart.
Craftsmanship is at the heart of our gin-making, perfected through a meticulous five-step process. We expertly craft our spirit using 24 hand-picked botanicals, utilizing copper pot distillation to achieve a remarkably smooth and refined taste. To complement this, vapor infusion gently lifts the delicate flavors and aromas of the botanicals. Finally, drawing inspiration from fine perfumery where delicate ingredients are carefully preserved, we use cold vacuum distillation to lock in the freshest and most vibrant flavors by distilling them at lower temperatures.

Made from the essence of rare, wild botanicals, Vanaha’s creation is just as unique as its taste. Being the first distillery in India to combine copper pot distillation, vapour infusion and cold vacuum distillation with scientific techniques inspired by the world of perfumery, our proprietary 5-step process is a unique confluence of tradition and innovation. This process gives Vanaha its unforgettably rich, layered profile. Every element of the artisanal spirit embodies nature’s finest alchemy, right down to the iridescent bottle.

But before she plunged into the world of spirits, Vaniitha had an illustrious career in marketing, branding & communications, helming pivotal roles at Flipkart, Ogilvy, Adecco & more. When she discovered her passion for premium spirits while in Europe, Vaniitha left the corporate boardroom to explore vineyards and distilleries across the world. After getting certified from one of the most prestigious, global wine & spirits educational institutions, she set out to redefine India’s premium beverage landscape.
